Large Wedding Cake at Beach Byron Bay

One of my very first challenging custom cakes, created for a local boxing gym in Byron Bay’s industrial area to celebrate both their final day of ownership and the years I spent training there.

The cake featured bold black buttercream finishes, boxing-inspired details and some of my earliest experiments with colour work and texture. Achieving a deep black buttercream was one of the biggest challenges at the time, leading me to work with cacao powder to build depth and richness while still learning different buttercream techniques.
